Pregnancy Vibes...Love Yourself 💕
My pregnancy has flown by. I cannot believe I'm 38 weeks pregnant already! 🤰🏻 I've learned that pregnancy isn't always beautiful or a breeze...Besides the constant heartburn and unexpected tiredness that hits me like a ton of bricks around 3PM, pregnancy can take a toll on your skin. For me, stretch marks appeared unexpectedly at week 37 and my face needs extra moisturizer + tinted concealer to hide my blemishes and dry skin. But it's definitely worth it! I seriously cannot wait to meet our little boy and I hope he knows that he is SOOO loved already!
I wanted to share my favorite (tested and tried!) beauty products that have saved me during my pregnancy.
I've used these products below throughout my pregnancy and have listed my personal experience with each one of them, below.
Stretch Mark Creams That Actually Work
I have used the Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter throughout my entire pregnancy. Thanks to my bigger days back in high school (sigh), I know that I'm prone to getting stretch marks. Luckily, I had the kind that went away once I lost weight. But with this pregnancy, I wanted to make sure I was doing everything I could to prevent and fight against any stretch marks that may appear. I have gone through 3 of these so far and I may need another one if our little boy decides to stay in longer than 40 weeks. I did run out for a week (around week 36/37) that's when I started to get stretch marks on my sides and some on the front of my stomach. I purchased another container ASAP and within a day or two the stretch marks diminished by about 60% and have left my skin feeling baby soft. Although they are not completely gone, I'm hoping once I lose some of this baby weight they will diminish almost completely. (I'll keep you updated on this!). My body has also been super itchy so I combine this Burt's Bees with Cocoa Butter to combat my extra dry skin. 🤷🏻
Blemishes + Pore Perfection
As mentioned above, this pregnancy has given me crazy dry skin. I've also noticed that more blemishes and redness have appeared around my cheeks and nose. That's why I combine the Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer and the Garnier Tinted Moisturizer every morning. Also...The tinted moisturizer is a great substitution for foundation. SCORE! As for my pores, I swear my nose and lips have gotten bigger during this pregnancy. The lips I don't mind, but the pores on my nose and cheeks look huge. UGH. That's why I started using the the Yes to Grapefruit Pore Perfection...and I have to say it is amazing!! It works great and the smell is so relaxing. It's apart of my daily night-time routine and I'm going to continuing using this even after I have my baby!
I'm all about keeping it real. I'll update you with any changes or other products that I may find helpful during and post-pregnancy. Feel free to share your thoughts below or on my Instagram page!
