As Halloween approaches, I've decided it’s time to start making my DIY Halloween decor. I've saved money *and* time by channeling my creative side for these DIYs this spooktacular season. You can make these adorable Halloween mason jars for less than $5! Satisfy your sweet tooth and add your favorite seasonal candy like I did.
We all know that sometimes Halloween decor can get a little cheesy, so make sure your DIYs from Pinterest or Brit+Co are going to fit in with your preferred decor taste/themes. This year, I wanted to go with bright + gothic tones for my Halloween decor — but you know...the options are endless. LOL. Scroll on and see how I made these adorable DIY spider Halloween mason jars.
If you have any other awesome ideas, feel free to send them my way in the comment section, below.
Step 1: Clean mason jars and lids
Step 2: Make sure they're completely dry before you paint them
Step 3: Paint the lids + spiders and add the glitter before the paint drys
NOTE: I learned that sprinkling the glitter on after you paint (while wet) them works best instead of adding the glitter to the paint directly. Notice my black one wasn't as sparkly as the rest, so I added some purple glitter to make this spider *pop*
Step 4: Once you've applied the paint and glitter, let them dry for 2-4 hours
Step 5: Apply the sealer coat of Mod Podge
Step 6: Glue Your Spider to your mason jar lids
Step 7: Add your favorite candy...and you're done!
PS: I found these tasty Halloween Candy from my local TJ Maxx Home Goods Store.
