As a gal who personally uses emoji's on a daily basis, I was so excited to make these for my family and friends. I decided to make these as an extra added touch to their gifts. Honestly, I wasn't even going to share these. Since they were a personal DIY project. However, my friend Jen (HEY JEN!) convinced me to share this DIY with you after she saw their turnout. It only took me about 35 minutes to make the entire set that you see here. They're the perfect addition to any gift — I added red gift tags behind the emoji to personalize my message to my loved ones. You could put them on your tree, wreath or on your gifts. ENJOY!
Use a candle lid or small cup to trace a circle on your yellow paper
Cut out as many circle emoji faces that you want to make.
Each face is different, with various colors. Use the designated colors of craft paper to draw (I free-handed them) and cut out each funny facial feature of the preferred emoji.
Glue on facial features with craft or stick glue and let dry for 30 minutes.
These aren't perfect so don't worry about getting the shape just right, you'll notice some of the emoji gift tag features are a little uneven.
You can write the "To: & From:" on the back of the emoji or add matching gift tag. I choose to add an additional red gift tag to the emoji to write personalized messages. choose red)
To make the string to hang it with the gift tag, cut a piece of twine and tie the ends together in a knot. Slip the loop through the hole (I made mine with a pin tac) and pull the knot through the loop. YOU'RE ALL DONE!
Craft or Stick Glue
Multi-Colored Craft Paper
Gift Tags & Twine (Optional)
These are seriously the easiest things to make! I wasn't even going to post about them until I showed my friend Jen (HEY JEN!) and she encouraged me to share them with you all!
