Halloween Pumpkin Decorating Fun:
I absolutely adore all things pumpkin. In fact, each year my family has it's annual pumpkin decorating contest that we get the trick-or-treaters to vote for on Halloween. A classic jack-o’-lantern will always have a soft spot in my heart, but I figured why limit my creativity to messy traditional carving? That's why I'm working on a few posts around this fall family tradition. This entire set-up was styled for less than $30 (pumpkins included).

The dollar store and Target will be your BFF when it comes to decorating for your upcoming pumpkin painting or carving bash. I spent about $30 total including the paint, pumpkins and decor. I already had the Halloween mason jars which I used to store and organize the paint brushes. I also already had the tablecloth and candles from Kohls. Everything else, was super inexpensive -- I got the plates, skulls and brushes from the dollar store. Lastly, the pumpkins were purchased at Walmart.

Make sure each person has a pumpkin,
Be prepared for unexpected guests and buy 2-3 extra pumpkins
Make sure you have plenty of extra table settings for each person (and then some) that plans on decorating pumpkins. It's always better to be over-prepared than under. Also, try putting double of everything on the table. That way each person, at each end, will have everything they need within arms reach. :)
BEHIND THE SCENES:
Here's a little snapshot of a behind-the-scenes look at us goofing off during the photoshoot. A special thanks to my lovely and patient husband for helping and surprising me with this entire photoshoot. :)
